+ Schedule your appointment at least two weeks before a special event, as redness, swelling, and peeling may occur during this period.
+ Inform your provider if you have a history of cold sores, as an antiviral prescription may be required.
+ The treatment area must be free of active rashes.
+ You must have discontinued Accutane for at least six months before treatment.
+ Avoid using retinoids, AHAs, and BHAs seven days before treatment.
+ Do not undergo laser treatments, radiofrequency, or waxing for at least seven days before your appointment.
+ Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds four weeks prior to treatment.
+ Do not thread or shave the treatment area within 24 hours of your peel.
+ If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you must receive clearance from your OB/GYN.
